Local Anesthesia

10 Minutes

The average time from the moment you enter the OR, choose your favorite radio station, and leave the OR is 10 min. Add a minute or two if you like to socialize.

Local Anesthesia

You can drive yourself to and from the hospital. There is no fasting, anesthesiologist, extensive clearance tests, or hospitalization.

One Small Incision

One small incision with a bandaid means faster healing and recovery. You can resume your daily activities with minimal restrictions.

Treatment that works.

Minimally invasive carpal tunnel syndrome treatment refers to the surgical technique employing the smallest incision possible. It is performed in 10 min, under local anesthesia, allowing the return to work the same day for most patients with minimal post-operative restrictions. This technique involves a single, 1 to 1.5 cm (0.4 to 0.6 inch) incision and utilizes special surgical instruments to cut the transverse carpal ligament and has the advantages of both open carpal tunnel surgery and endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery.

Compressed median nerve.

Carpal tunnel syndrome results from median nerve compression at the wrist. The most common symptoms of median nerve compression include hand tingling, numbness, and pain. In severe cases, hand muscles by the thumb atrophy, leading to hand weakness and difficulty grasping objects.

The longer you wait -the more you risk.

If you are experiencing any symptoms, you don’t want to wait for them to get worse to be evaluated by an orthopedic hand surgeon. The longer you wait, the more you risk permanent nerve damage. I can assess the severity of your median nerve compression and evaluate your carpal tunnel syndrome. Afterward, I can recommend an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your needs.
